The Cane River Waterway Commission is please to announce that Shuler Consulting Company will be conducting a feasibility study for dredging of 20,000-linear feet of Cane River Lake to begin December 2018.  The described portion of the river to be dredge is from downtown Natchitoches to the north dam.  Mr. Shuler estimates that he will have findings to present to the Commission in approximately 6 month to one year. 

April 17, 2019 Status Update:

Henry Shuler has presented the feasibility study to the Commission.  The Commission currnetly has the dredging project under review to determine the scope of the project.  The project is estimated to cost over 6 million dollars.
